PHARMACY ADMISSIONS 2025-2026 B. Pharmacy Eligibility criteria In order to secure admission through CAP to First Year of four year Degree Course in Pharmacy, the candidate should fulfil the following eligibility criteria: 1. Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with – English as one of the subjects. – All the subjects mentioned under Group-I, & – Any one of the subjects from Group-II. AND 2. Secured minimum 50% marks (45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra) in Physics, Chemistry and the subject of maximum marks amongst the subjects of Group-II, added together. Group – I (All subjects from the group are compulsory) Physics Chemistry Group – II (Any one of the subjects from the group) Mathematics. Biology. AND 3. The candidate should qualify in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority of Government of Maharashtra, for the respective academic year. Maximum marks from amongst Mathematics and Biology will be considered in case if a candidate appears for Mathematics as well as Biology subject of MHT-CET. 4. The candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy with 50% marks are eligible for admission to F.Y. B. Pharmacy against the vacancy after CAP round. The admission shall be as per rules and regulations of Govt. of Maharashtra. 5. Admissions to Direct S. Y. B. Pharm: Candidates passed D. Pharmacy with 50% marks. Reservation of Seats Admission to the reserved candidates will be provided as per rules and regulations of Govt. of Maharashtra for general category only. Appropriate testimonials as applicable and required should be submitted at the time of admission rounds. Reservation for Female Candidates: As per the provisions in Govt. Resolution No. GEC-1000(123/2000)/ Technical education, dated 17th April-2000, 30% seats of sanctioned intake shall be reserved for female candidates. Filling and submission of Application Form Application should be duly filled and submitted to college office with necessary testimonials on or before last date as prescribed for the submission of application in the given admission schedule. B. Pharmacy
A four year full time professional course with the objective of imparting technical pharmacy knowledge to science students is strictly carried out as per the norms and syllabus framed by university of Pune. The course of study in each subject would extend over to period of at least 25 weeks in a year excluding days spent in examination Internal assessment At least three sessional exams are held each year. Sessional marks will be calculated as the average of the best two performances at these exams. These marks will be submitted to the university before commencement of the university exams. University Exams The exams will be conducted by university at the end of each academic year; the nomenclature of these exams shall be as follows – 1.First Year B. Pharm. 2.Second Year B. Pharm. 3.Third Year B. Pharm. 4.Final Year B. Pharm. Student has to go through one month Inplant training in a pharmaceutical industry after third year B. Pharm. Supplementary exams will also be conducted in the month of Nov/Dec of every year. A.T.K.T/Backlog A candidate failing in the examination will be allowed to carry a backlog of any two theory heads & any two practical heads next year. A candidate must pass these four subjects independently or simultaneously at the next examination. The term ‘subject’ means separate for both theory and Practical. A failing/ATKT candidate who has passed in a particular subject may, at his/her option, be exempted from appearing in that subject at a subsequent examination. No candidate will be admitted to third Year B. Pharm unless he/she has passed the First Year B. Pharm Examination. No candidate will be admitted to Final Year B.
